Race Relations Commissioner Meng Foon has made substantial donations to Labour MP Kiri Allen. PM Hipkins, Allen and Foon himself dismiss any notion he is politically biassed. It’s more evidence Foon is anything but neutral, and ACT’s David Seymour says Foon should resign. There have been repeated calls to scrap the Human Rights Commission over bias.

Without consensus on the Treaty, voters need to decide the path forward

Both versions of the Treaty of Waitangi are subject to endless interpretations. There will never be consensus as to what the Treaty actually means and the obligations it implies. Many of the “expert” opinions are from people with vested interests, but voters actually call the shots.

Income in the report is calculated (guessed) on the basis of unrealised gains, which no country does. Why do that? Tax paid indirectly is impossible to figure out for extensive investment portfolios. The gains from capital assets are not taxable. Wealthy people have mostly capital assets. Is that news to anyone? Media just parrots the Minister’s summary of cherry-picked numbers without examination.

Simplified path to Oz citizenship for Kiwis

Kiwis will only need to live in Oz for 4 years to qualify for an easy citizenship application. Time already spent counts. There are around 700,000 Kiwis living in Australia today. PM Hipkins says this is the biggest change in a generation. David Seymour says the policy is designed to incentivise Kiwis to leave NZ.

Why the 2022 Parliament protest happened: reasons many opposed the vaccine mandates

Most media coverage of the February 2022 Parliament protest didn’t mention reasons for the protest. It ignored many sensible concerns Kiwis had about the vaccine and the mandates. Rather it did the opposite of its job and acted as a Government mouthpiece.

Project Disinformation

The Disinformation Project is a group of “experts” who attack political opposition as foreign disinformation or extremist. They’ve been proven wrong many times, but media continues to pass on their findings without criticism or balance. Media calls them victims when people are angry about their slander.
