Trans “rights” seemingly include an entitlement to trample what women see as “rights” of their own. Some elected officials and MP’s enthusiastically support the mob. Media shows more balance than they often do for these touchy situations. The so-called “Thugs veto” is no credit to NZ.

Labour MP email scandal – stuff up or cover up?

Stuart Nash was sacked from Cabinet after revelations he’d breached confidentiality in emails to campaign donors in 2020. A 2021 OIA request brought the emails to the attention of the PM’s office, but they weren’t released. Guarav Sharma, previous Labour insider, had accused Labour of just this sort of thing. Stuff up or cover up?

At what point do Kiwis start doubting Government numbers?

What does it say about the story when the numbers are changed to suit? There's a lot of examples of the Government's COVID numbers supporting the narrative, with those numbers then revised after the fact. Is it just lucky incorrect numbers consistently fall on the side of helping the Government's preferred narrative? Are voters awakening to the Government’s approach of “controlling the narrative, through controlling the data”?

Auckland Light Rail – why?

Auckland's Light Rail may take over a decade with expected costs of $15b-$30b to build. How about some clear reasoning why this giant, expensive, and controversial project is needed? Is a staged roll out another way of scrapping it without saying so? Are there more important "bread and butter" issues at the moment?

Posie protest fiasco shows Labour/Greens out of touch with many

The protest against the Let Women Speak women’s rights rally in Auckland’s Albert Park turned unruly, as planned. Police failed to “serve and protect”. Green and Labour Party MPs said afterward they were proud of the protesters. Greens co-leader Marama Davidson made the outrageous statement violence comes exclusively from “white cis men", unaware many outside the LBGTQ community don’t even know what “cis” means?

Co-governance is anti-democratic-Full stop

It is not a “fact” that co-governance is required by the Treaty, it is just an emotionally charged issue that is promoted by this Government. There are passionate supporters, who resort to name calling, but also many equally impassioned detractors. There are winners in Māori society from co-governance as some will have privileged status like the upper classes of old.

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
